My Story

I have teamed up with 13 other members of staff at Mary Hare Primary School to lose a few pounds in support of our Primary School Appeal . Mary Hare Primary School is currently housed in a Grade 2* listed House near Newbury. Whilst this 'Harry Potter' style building is a beautiful setting, it does not offer everything we would wish for in a school for deaf children and is also situated several miles across town from the Mary Hare Secondary School site. Mary Hare is raising funds to build a brand new Primary School for Deaf children - who come to us from all over the country - on the site of the Secondary School at Arlington Manor. The Mary Hare Primary Slimmers are all members of staff at the school, including the Head Teacher. We are determined to lose a few pounds whilst raising £s for this wonderful cause. I see at first hand every day the difference this wonderful school makes to the lives of the young deaf children who attend - and their families.
