Football Beyond Borders

Weʼre raising £4,000 to help fund a Literacy & Football Mentoring Programme

Griffin Primary School

Griffin Primary School

My Story

Griffin Primary School in the London Borough of Wandsworth requires financial help to continue to work with the education charity Football Beyond Borders (FBB). Our current funding for this programme has come to an end and we need to seek alternative ways to raise the finances to continue this valuable initiative.

FBB uses football as an educational tool to engage and inspire students, and supports them to improve their attendance, behaviour for learning and literacy skills. For more information about the FBB schools programme please go to http://footballbeyondborders.org/fbb-schools/

Your financial help will allow disadvantaged students to continue to receive:

•Weekly project based, football themed learning focussed on the development of key learning skills

•Weekly football coaching sessions delivered by Level 2 FA Coaches focussed on the emotional, social and psychological development of participants

•Termly remarkable reward visits and an annual football tour for students who meet their targets for behaviour, attendance and academic performance

FBB have been working with some of our most vulnerable students for almost one year and in that time we have witnessed students grow in resilience, team work, confidence and focus alongside improving their behaviour, attendance and literacy. For testimonies from some of our students please go to http://footballbeyondborders.org/case-studies/

Our students, parents and staff thoroughly enjoy and appreciate the value of the FBB Schools Programme and would be extremely grateful for any contribution you can offer.

Many thanks,

Griffin Primary School, Wandsworth
